I decided that today would be the day I experimented with baking..

Today will be "cook day"

1st dish of the day? Sweet Pear Bread, which is meant to be more of a cake.. the recipe looked really easy.. i replaced most of the ingredients.. which probably lead to my downfall..

At the end of 40 mins, only half the cake flopped out of the tray.. yes.. it FLOPPED out..

It doesnt look too appetising but it's edible.. I'm positive :p

2nd dish - Shanghainese rice cakes.. went relatively smooth.. had it for lunch and 2 packs are in the freezer

3rd dish - Lemon Syrup Cake

I decided to be sinful and used exactly what the recipe called for.. except.. I don't think I made the batter to what was required but I was tired of holding the damm beaters. We'll find out what happens in an hour's time.. finger's crossed!
