I guess just a quick update..

I'm finally here in Melbourne.. the flight was bearable.. except for this one fat-annoying-couldn't-shut-the-hell-up-kid.. who I would have ripped to pieces if I could.. the 7 hour journey was not too bad..

As MT said, Emirate's the way to go and I couldn't agree more!

Did you know that they have viewcams in the planes, so if you were to land sometime in the day, you'd have an excellent bird's eye view of the destination.. and how it actually looks like when the plane approaches the runway! Very nice!

More updates to come I guess, but for now, I'm trying to get used to the weather, the fact that I'm ACTUALLY here.. and getting myself oriented at where I am.. and what I am going to eat ...
